Premiership Rugby will host 20 coaches from across the US for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity from October 27 – November 3, 2019 in England.

This unique programme continues to support the development of the game in the US by empowering coaches through immersive professional development experiences in England.

50 coaches from more than 25 states have participated in this multi-year initiative, each spending a week in England immersed in Premiership Rugby’s top clubs.

The Premiership Rugby Scholarship winners will experience what it’s like to coach professional rugby in the UK visiting Leicester, Northampton Saints and Wasps whilst taking part in a series of high-level rugby and knowledge transfer sessions. During the week in England, coaches will take part in a Level 300 coaching training course, co-delivered by Premiership Rugby and USA Rugby. Coaches will be hosted in England from October 27 – November 3

Coaches will learn about and engage with Premiership Rugby’s award-winning community programs that use rugby as a tool for social change, covering all methodologies used in these life-changing initiatives.

The coaches will also gain insight into various ways Premiership Rugby clubs are engaging their players, fans and communities to instil the core values of rugby.

The Premiership Rugby Scholarships initiative is funded primarily by Friends of the British Council, through the generosity of individual donors, foundations, corporations, clubs and organisations, who recognise the value of international exchange and networks for professional development.
